For Mason’s room, we knew we wanted to create a space that wasn’t too ‘babyish’ and could grow along with him as he got older. We still wanted it to be fun and a place he would love spending time in, playing, sleeping, dreaming, and growing. We decided on this modern black and white theme with sharp geometric shapes and some whimsical additions like the zebra drawer pulls and gold animal accents. I wanted it to be cozy and combined different textures, and put blankets and pillows everywhere I could!
I wanted his sleep space to be cozy and warm. I am such a sappy romantic and immediately fell in love with this canvas from House of Belonging. This shop designs beautiful, meaningful, art with the core value that words matter.
We ordered no less than 6 different types of drawer plus before deciding on these little zebras from Anthropologie. Fast forward four months, and zebras are Mason’s favorite animal. He has a zebra stuffed animal and a night-light that he has to say good night to before he goes to bed (by petting it!)
Letter boards are all the rage right now so we thought it would be the perfect way to announce his birth. I planned on updating it with cute quotes regularly, but #momlife. There is always next week!
I literally searched for MONTHS, like the entirety of my pregnancy, for a black glider/recliner for the nursery. Apparently, these only come in white, grey, or pastel colors?? Finally, I found this one from a Canadian shop, monte, thanks to a super helpful mama on Instagram. I seriously owe that girl so much!
I spent hours scouring places like Target and T.J. Maxx, dreaming about our baby, and looking for the perfect accents for his future room. I wanted everything in here to be meaningful, beautiful, and inspiring. I also love supporting small businesses when I can, so I found this changing table cover on Etsy!
Thanks for stopping by to see our nursery! We hope you love it as much as we do! Shop the post below!
