This kid is the definition of a mother’s dream, except of course when he is throwing himself head first off of furniture. In that case, he is a mother’s heart attack. Mason is cruising like a maniac, climbing on top of everything (and even into his water table), standing on his own and surprising himself, climbing up the stairs 12 times in a row and making both of us out of breath, and taking his few first steps. He sure is keeping his mama on her toes!
While Mason is working on these skills, I am working on creating a more minimalistic, clean, calm, environment for him at home. We are also trying to support small shops that ethically produce their products. I believe this is important for his future, sets a good example, and gives me peace of mind when we do make purchases. We recently found these adorable baby kimonos from Haha no yume. They are absolutely perfect and bring a little Zen into our otherwise crazy lives!
Haha no yume means ‘Mother’s Dream’ in Japanese. Their kimonos stand up to the name. They are made with 100% cotton that is hand-picked in Osaka, Japan. These kimonos are ethically produced in a fair trade environment that focuses on social and economic independence for local people. 3% of sales are donated to World Vision. The kimonos have a comfortable loose fit, which allows Mason to crawl, climb, and try to walk without any restrictions. They also have snaps that allow easy access for diaper changes. And boy, there are still a lot of those!
This kimono has the most adorable little hedgehogs on it and is currently on SALE!
