Our wedding was featured today on Ruffled Blog!
It was amazing to relive our wedding day…it’s hard to imagine it was over 5 months ago! It will forever be the best day of my life.
Our vision for our wedding was a vibrant and playful weekend away in sunny Mexico celebrating our love with our closest friends and family. I fell in love with surfing a few years ago and Cabo Surf Hotel was the perfect location! We wanted everything to be bright to reflect our fun-loving personalities so we went with vivid red, pink and orange tones for the color scheme.
The weekend kicked off with a day of games on the lawn complete with a custom Yankees and Red Sox Corn Hole set (yes, we are fans of rival teams!), Yardzee, and a giant Jenga, which became our guest book. We accompanied this with a mimosa and bloody mary bar as well as unicorn and flamingo pool floats. Everyone had a blast playing outside all day! For the rehearsal dinner all 75 guests celebrated with tacos, live music, dancing and margaritas at La Lupita in Los Cabos.
For the wedding day, the bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses and the groomsmen had hand painted bow ties custom-made in the wedding colors. The ceremony featured a chuppah overflowing with flowers facing the ocean. For the reception, long wooden tables covered with hot pink dip-dyed linens, gold laser cut name place cards, candles, and flowers as bright as the Cabo sun made the whole event pop! Everyone spent the entire night on the dance floor!
We added a piñata as a nod to Mexican culture and ended the night with a ‘Smores Love’ kit, which everyone enjoyed at a bonfire on the beach. It was everything we ever dreamed of thanks to our planners, Amy Abbott and her team!
